Where to Get a Christmas Tree in Grove City
Winter is finally upon us. And while some people like to dwell on the fact that the sun sets earlier, or complain that they don’t like the cold, don’t listen to those grinches! Winter is the most wonderful time of the year. It’s a time for family, for hot chocolate and for holidays. As December approaches, what better way to get into the holiday spirit than to go get a Christmas tree? Fortunately, we’ve got you covered. From pick-your-own, to places for wreaths and other goodies, we’ve gathered the best places to get a Christmas tree in Grove City and the surrounding areas.
Few things feel more Christmas-y than going to a farm and picking out your own Christmas tree, and Albert Family Tree Farm goes above and beyond. Starting November 23rd, you can go with your family and pick out the perfect tree, from under six feet to over 12, in all your favorite types. But it doesn’t stop there. Santa is visiting! During the afternoon, take a trip to their Red Barn to meet Santa, with complimentary hot chocolate, candy canes, and popcorn. They also feature a petting zoo, and a gift shop with plenty of holiday goodies.
If you’re looking for the true, ‘pick-your-own’ experience, Crackler Farms should be your first destination. Their 30 year old farm has over 20,000 evergreen trees, from Canaan Fir to Colorado Blue Spruces. They give you the bow saw, tree sled, and send you on your way. They have everything you need, they just need you! If hiking isn’t your thing, they offer pre-cut trees, along with wreaths and grave blankets. They also have a nativity scene with live animals! Gabriel the miniature donkey and Zebulon the ewe lamb are particularly friendly.
If wandering around a forest of fir trees isn’t your thing, be sure to check out Taylor Christmas Tree Farm. Each year they pick the fullest trees, fresh cut them just days before Thanksgiving, and bring them to Columbus for your convenience. Each tree is hand picked and manicured before cutting to ensure they’re the right size and shape. Trees range from tabletop size to 16 feet, so you’re sure to find the right one for your home.
Sometimes, you don’t want a live tree. Maybe someone in the family is sick, maybe your pets attack it, but for one reason or another, you want an artificial tree. Strader’s should be your first choice. They offer lifelike, artificial trees, for those of us who prefer not having to water a tree for a month. Their models come in a variety of styles, including unlit, pre-lit, LED, color changing and more. And, for a limited time, they’re offering 50 percent off their entire selection of artificial trees. They also have wreaths, firewood, ornaments and other holiday goodies to really get into the spirit of the season.
Since 1966, Mr. Tree Farm has been providing the quintessential ‘pick-your-own’ tree experience. Their 30 acre tree farm has all your favorite styles to choose from, along with plenty of pre-cut trees just in case you don’t find what you’re looking for. Bring your own saw, or Mr. Tree will provide one, grab a map, and head out. And don’t forget to check out Santa! Santa is usually available on the weekends from 12-5, and he brought his workshop caboose for you and your family to enjoy.
