OhioHealth to Build Emergency Department in Grove City

A second hospital will soon be making its way to Grove City!  OhioHealth Corp. recently announced plans to build a new emergency department and outpatient surgery center on Stringtown Road close to Interstate 71.

Both projects will create 300 new jobs. The 24-hour facility will include a 26-bed surgical hospital as well as an emergency department. The hospital is expected to open in early 2017. Alongside this project, OhioHealth is also opening new emergency departments in Hilliard and Obetz.

The announcement of this hospital is great news for Grove City, and especially residents of Grove City Summit! The facility is close to GCS, providing close access to quality care if you experience an accident or emergency.

It is exciting that emergency health care will now be more accessible to people in the suburban areas around Columbus including Grove City. It will also be beneficial and free up space at the OhioHealth Grant Medical Center located downtown.
The addition of jobs is also exciting for Grove City. Stimulating Grove City’s economy while providing high quality healthcare in a highly populated Columbus suburb is valuable.
